NEONSPACE
Get NeonSpace

Up and running in about ten minutes

Install it on your PC

Download NeonSpace and double-click the installer. It runs quietly in the background on a normal Windows 10 or 11 PC (with no effect on games) or a Mac.

Watch your home appear

Within minutes every device on your Wi-Fi shows up on the map. Give them friendly names like "Emma's iPad" or "Front door camera".

Open it anywhere

On your phone, the TV or any computer at home. A short welcome guide shows you around, including how to try a home server of your own.

Download NeonSpace (free)

Windows 10 or 11: download, open the ZIP, choose Extract All, then double-click Install-NeonSpace.cmd. The free dashboard needs no account; buy a plan any time to add the extras.

Download for Windows

Mac (macOS 12 or newer)? See the 3-minute Mac install.

Home server (Debian, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi or a Proxmox container)? Run: curl -fsSL https://ai.neonspace.app/download/linux | sudo bash

SteamOS (Steam Deck, Legion Go S)? In Desktop Mode, open Konsole and run: curl -fsSL https://neonspace.app/install-steamos.sh | bash

That's the full list for now. Phones, tablets and TVs open your dashboard, but NeonSpace itself has to run on one of these.

Questions about getting set up

What can NeonSpace run on?

Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 or newer, Linux home servers (Debian, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS or a Proxmox container) and SteamOS handhelds such as the Steam Deck and Legion Go S. It can't run on phones, tablets, TVs or Chromebooks, though phones, tablets and TVs can all open your dashboard once it's running at home.

Does it need to stay on?

It watches your network while its computer is on and awake. A family PC, gaming PC or home server is perfect. A laptop or handheld works too, but it only watches while it's awake.

Can I use it with just my phone?

Your phone is how you look at it, but NeonSpace itself has to live on a computer at home. On your phone now? Tap Download for Windows and we'll help you send the link to your computer.

Is the free version really free?

Yes. There's no account, no card and no time limit. Buy a plan only if you want what it adds, and you can drop it later and keep the free version.

How do I cancel?

Any time, from the link in your receipt email. You keep your plan until the end of the month or year you paid for.

NeonSpace runs on a computer at home

It looks like you're on a phone. NeonSpace installs on a Windows PC, a Mac or a home server that stays on at home, and then you open your dashboard from this phone any time.

Send yourself the link and open it on your computer:

Install NeonSpace on your Mac

It takes about 3 minutes and installs everything it needs by itself. Works on macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel.

  1. Open Terminal: press ⌘ Command + Space, type Terminal, press Return.
  2. Copy this line, paste it into Terminal and press Return:

curl -fsSL https://neonspace.app/install-mac.sh | sudo bash

  1. Type your Mac password when it asks (nothing shows while you type; that's normal) and press Return.
  2. Answer the two quick questions. Your dashboard opens in your browser when it's done.
  3. At the end it shows your NeonSpace addresses. They're your real ones, not examples, and they only work at home. A copy is saved on your Desktop.

Keep the Mac on and awake at home so NeonSpace can watch your network. Remove it any time with sudo bash /usr/local/neonspace/uninstall-mac.sh.

Your download has started

Three steps and you're in orbit:

  1. Find NeonSpace-Windows.zip in your Downloads folder, open it and choose Extract All.
  2. In the new folder, double-click Install-NeonSpace.cmd.
  3. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. The installer isn't code-signed yet.
  4. At the end it shows your NeonSpace addresses. They're your real ones, not examples, and they only work at home. A copy is saved on your Desktop.
